Freedom of Being — Ter et Bantine

Ter et Bantine's Spring collection draws its inspiration from architectural poise. The broad swaths of fabric mimic the grand effect of architectural materials such as expansive concrete and smooth granite. Designer Manuela Arcari's vision has been coined as controlled and assertive, yet this season's addition of monochromatic floral appliques has us seeing a romantic side to the minimalist line.

Arcari herself describes her company as being raised as her “third child;” enveloped with not only love and care, but also strict discipline. She emphasizes the use of criticism to “grow” the company into it’s own cultivated independence. Transparency is central to her ethos; an achieved design freedom of expression from mainstream compromises. Ter et Bantine offers an explicit example of true luxury apparel. With design inspiration drawn from modern art, Arcari’s pieces are intentional, and structurally significant. Offering timeless silhouettes and intelligent sizing, Ter et Bantine knows not only the hearts of their customer, but also what makes luxury brilliant.
