Icon | Diane Keaton

Diane Keaton is the quintessence of graceful strength with authentic hints of quirk that endure. We find our style icon in one of her most famous characters, Annie Hall, whose style she has emulated throughout her life. We are drawn to the way she has defined aging in a beautiful way; quite simply, to age is to have lived. There is nothing more powerful than a woman who bares the lines of her experiences with elegance. At Baby & Company, we seek out those who have a story and claim it as their own. Great style follows the authentic spirit, they have an inevitable pact to impart.

‘I saw Annie Hall in 1977, the year I graduated high school and I was seeking my own signature style. I fell in love with Diane Keaton’s entire persona. Her style in that film is still catching up to the modern day. I was instinctively drawn to her menswear look. My mother had been a male impersonator during her career on Broadway. My own style is still defined by tomboy sensibilities and the staples are inevitably found on the racks in my store; pristinely tailored trousers, structured shirting, classic blazers and of course brogues! Diane Keaton is never far from my mind for her strength and endless menswear cool.’  -Jill Donnelly, Owner Baby & Company.

"I never understood the idea that you’re supposed to mellow as you get older. Slowing down isn’t something I relate to at all. The goal is to continue in good and bad; all of it."
