Denis Colomb

Denis Colomb's penchant for exotic travel led him to the Far East and Nepal , where he developed a deep appreciation for the artistry and traditional techniques of the local craftsmen. After a decade of frequent trips to Nepal he established the kind of rapport that was necessary to win the trust of the local artisans. In 2003, while working on a collection of rugs for several architectural commissions, he began to experiment with Mongolian cashmere, the finest in the world, and the first of his hand loomed shawls and blankets were created. Soon he discovered new workshops, all the while refining texture, color and technique for a group of exquisite scarves, shawls and wraps.

In 2004, his company was founded with his wife, the renowned photographer, Erica Lennard. The product line was inspired by Colomb's love of travel and desire to create a beautiful and unique lifestyle collection of shawls, travel blankets and apparel for a modern and discerning global customer. In addition to the subtle beauty and sophistication of the designs, a key element introduced to the market was the concept of layering and the versatility of how the pieces could be worn.
