Gianfranco Scotti

Earning degrees in garment construction and pattern making from Accademia di Belle Arti and Centro Moda in his native Italy; Gianfranco Scotti has mastered innovative and luxurious volume with refined tailoring. He moved to Paris in 1996 to work under Oscar de la Renta at Balmain, then advised and collaborated with a number of haute couture and ready-to-wear designers for a number of years. In 2001, he launched his own menswear line while continuing to design for the likes of Dior and Carven, while teaching at the prestigious Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Scotti’s first appearance in womenswear came in March 2011, a collection designed for the historically minded and forward thinking woman.
