Kalosoma Jewelry

Inspired by collecting insects as a child with her entomologist grandfather, Claudia Quiroz matured her longtime hobby of making jewelry into a handmade collection in 2005. 'When we found a beetle we ran to show my grandfather this jewel of nature,' recalls Quiroz. The Calosoma Beetle, named for synthesized latin word meaning 'beautiful body,' is shelled in a color reminiscent of an emerald stone.
