The Korean-born textile master and award-winning FIT graduate, Suk Chai, debuted her women's clothing line of immaculately fabricated shirts, trousers, coats and skirts in fall 2014. At the heart of the Seattle-based line lies a dedication to finely woven Italian textiles and luxe vegetable-dyed hides, as well as a meticulous eye for detail that is carried over into her elegantly cutting-edge designs. Characterized by full-cut trousers, linear outerwear, and boxy blouses, the line's modern shapes and detailing portray a distinctly minimalistic statement aesthetic—one that narrates Chai's passion for formulating luxurious and thoughtfully produced wares.
