Inspiration Statement
“We do not remember days, we remember moments.
The past gathers us, and the future invites us.”
The past gathers us, and the future invites us.”
To step into the New Year is to feel both held and called.
Held by what has already lived its way through us,
called by what has not yet found its shape.
Before moving forward, I turned back—
not just to linger or reflect, but to listen.
I scrolled through a year of images, each one a mirror of my presence during a 360 day countdown of what was now in the past.
In this age, we carry our memories in our pocket:
every laugh, every landscape, every fleeting instant captured by a lens always ready.
For better or worse, nothing passes unnoticed now. This is how we remember.
So I allowed myself to rewind.
To wander again through the fun and the quiet, the lightness and the weight. As I write this, I am listening to the songs that became the soundtrack of 2025, and letting myself be swooned by a melody that took me right back to a feeling.. an emotion.
With eyes closed, the rewind became live again.
A photograph does the same. Time folding in on itself, the past not gone, only waiting. As a way of ranking our hero moments, we have been trained to mark these highlights with hearts, to signal which are our favorites.
Without a prompt or an ask, a slideshow of "picks" can suddenly appear with the title ‘Memories’, with music already selected, a spontaneous slideshow presents itself to remind me what the hell I have gotten up to in the past twelve months.
And beneath it all, the unseen architecture of technology hums—
algorithms watching, learning, shaping our next step from our last pause.
We resist, we surrender, we participate.
We are already inside it.
Technology has changed how we chronicle a life, but not why we do.
We still collect moments to remind ourselves that we were here, that we felt deeply, that something mattered.
From birthdays to BBQ’s, roadtrips to mountain tops, sunrises and sunsets, we bore witness to enormous heartbreak, and abundant love for those we share a life with. Everyday was its own opportunity to remember our good fortune to live a life we love, along side those we love, and who give us love in return.
It’s really all you can ask for in a world that offers no guarantees.
The calendar that marks time seems to be accelerating, and the years seem to be compounding in rapid succession. For these reasons, it is so important to seriously try to squeeze all the goodness out of a wonderful moment. Give yourself the option to stop and smell a rose, observe an impressive landscape, have a beautiful supper, or just bury yourself in your dog’s fur.
Time is fleeting - Don’t postpone Joy!
Now the looking back is complete. The memories settle where they belong;
not as weight, but as wisdom
Rooted in what has been, I lean toward what is becoming—
open to the unfolding, and ready to be surprised by what comes next.
Get ready Baby, tomorrow will be here before you know it!

Living in the mountains, we still have months of snow falling and freezing temperatures taking hold of any given day. For this reason, we push our Spring deliveries out a bit longer to stay in a natural rhythm of the current season.
That said, slowly but surely, the NEW is not far behind.
