The Sunday Guide – July

INSPIRATION STATEMENT

“Change is the only constant in life” - Heraclitus

One year later, how’s everyone doing?

Before you read further, take one minute to close your eyes and remember what your life looked like at this same time a year ago. It just blows my mind to think a year later we would move our business, sell our house, and leave our hometown of Seattle in search of a fresh start in a new place that suddenly feels like home.

Painful - YES!

Scary - Hell yes!

Exciting - Most definitely!

Creating something new is at the heart of our brand's DNA. Founder Baby Burstyn understood this concept very well and always found ways to re-fresh the store experience and keep the product assortment evolving towards the new. That formula has served us very well over the past 44 years and we have no intentions of changing THAT!
Our tiny (but mighty) Sun Valley Outpost has earned the love and affection of a whole new set of hearts and minds here in Ketchum, Idaho. Just like before, we will stay focused on new ways to change, evolve, discover, create, and fall back in love with life and those we share it with over and over again.
We hope to never let you (or ourselves) down as we seek new ways to keep the element and surprise and delight in everything we do – You have our word on that, Baby!

SCENT SENSATION

Introducing our latest fragrance from Vilhelm Parfumerie – I am personally LOVING this new scent on these hot summer nights - It seems to go well with the heat.

Dirty Velvet -
"DEEP TANGO WITH MILES DAVIS
One summer night, in a suite at New York's Chelsea Hotel. Red rose petals litter the floor and cigar smoke fills the air. Miles Davis plays the trumpet, while two Andalucian flamenco dancers move to the beats of tango. Strains of music were spilling onto the hot street below, dirty with deep soul and as smooth as velvet."

NOTES:
Top - Bergamot , Elemi
Middle – White Leather, Labdanum
Base – Patchouli Fraction, Papyrus
