Mirko Ghignone was inspired by painting early in his career, eventually transforming what he dubbed “action painting” to apply to his own clothing line. Created as a sister label to his mother's knitwear firm, Ghignone combined classic Italian manufacturing with avant-garde sensibilities. Rooted in extensive fabric manipulation—think repeated dye baths, deconstruction of edges, intentional pilling, painting, and aggressive washes—each piece is made from the finest raw textiles and created in the small mill town of Genoa, Italy, continuing on the family's legacy.
