Local purveyor, E. Smith Mercantile in Pioneer Square, modeled their shop and bar after a Victorian era dry goods outlet. It harkens back to their own elders’ steps where a shop was a destination for quality goods and a community gathering site. Their Back Bar is inspired by the history of alcohol used as a vehicle for the medicinal qualities inherent in plants and flowers.
