Laura's Autumn Edit

Laura's Autumn Edit

Baby & Company sales manager, accomplished chef, and all-around tastemaker, Laura Guth takes us out to coffee to share what's exciting her for fall in Seattle.

What do you most look forward to in autumn? Is there anything you're particularly excited about this year?
Guth: In the Northwest, as the weather turns and the days shrink, we tend to curl inward. I'm looking forward to layering texture with soft sweaters and colorful scarves. This fall, we're seeing a lot more options in color, which to me signals a shift in our mood. We're ready for lightness and frivolity in our clothing choices, and I welcome it! Can I be warm and cozy in a floral bomber? Absolutely!

What's your favorite new brand at Baby & Company this season?
My favorite new line for the store is Nells Nelson. The textures are luxurious and the cuts are truly timeless! If you've been searching for the perfect outerwear piece this winter, look no further than this exquisite Italian brand.

If you could dress yourself head to toe, in one brand, which would you
choose?
Annette Gortz. Not only are their fabrics really special, the tailoring is impeccable and their line fits me so well!

Where is your go-to place in Seattle to stay cozy?
My old favorite, Ummelina Day Spa delivers every time I'm in the winter doldrums. They offer a service called the Desert Excursion, which is basically just that. There's nothing like the dry heat when you're feeling cold and wet. Trust me.
