Palihotel

If you’re like us, your favorite parts about Seattle are decidedly un-corporate. The Palihotel gets that, and they’ve designed rooms that match the eclectic, personality-driven vibe of our fair city. Case in point: you’ll find bunk beds, Smeg fridges, and a fab mix of patterns and décor in this marketplace hotel.

Queen City

Basically anything Linda touches turns to gold, and this new venture proves to be another success. Preserving the bones of a classic Seattle institution, Derschang deftly adds her signature touches: feel-good food, killer bar, and cozy, can’t-stay-away atmosphere to name a few. Also there’s a daily happy hour! Yeah, we’ll see you there.

SAM

The Peacock in the Desert exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum features five centuries of prolific art from the kingdom of Marwar-Jodhpur. Many of the pieces are on display outside the palace for the very first time. Starting the visual journey with the re-creation of a royal wedding reception, you will remain awestruck from beginning to end. On now through January 21st.

Pink Door

Simply put, The Pink Door is iconic. This dinner-and-a-show hotspot has been delighting guests since 1981, and they’re only getting better. Every Saturday night, you can indulge in classic Italian fare and the longest running cabaret and burlesque show in the PNW. We recommend ordering our namesake drink, the Baby 75, it’s delicious, and goes with everything.

Deep Dive & Willmott’s Ghost

Renée Erickson knows food. A world-class chef, and seafood visionary, she has brought her expertise in both menu and design to the Amazon spheres. We recommend dinner at the brand new Willmott’s Ghost, followed by drinks at Deep Dive, a sumptuously intimate space. Both are worth the trip for aesthetics alone, but the food and drinks will encourage a return visit.

Thompson Hotel

The best way to staycation is with a romantic sleepover at the Thompson, a boutique, waterfront hotel. Greet the day with hot coffee and regionally-inspired brunch at Scout, and wind down with rooftop cocktails and views for days at The Nest–both conveniently located within the establishment.

Bonjour baby! This petite café keeps it classic, and we wouldn’t change a thing. We love popping by for a brioche and coffee, or dining in for the to-die-for roast chicken. Throw on your frenchiest outfit du jour for a round trip to cuisine heaven.

Not solely a gallery or a store, this unique space has treasures of all kind on display, and for sale. For a truly one-of-a-kind experience, we recommend gifting loved ones a piece from this collection of fine jewelry, art, and objects.
