At Baby & Company, one of our greatest loves is the artistry of the handmade. One of India’s best kept treasures offers us this, alongside innovative designs and splendid textures, in the label Péro.
With designer and creative mastermind Aneeth Arora at it’s helm, Péro has evolved into a household name with an international following since it’s founding in 2009. Alum from the National Institute of Design and National Institute of Fashion Technology, Aneeth expertly weaves her fashion expertise with her cultural heritage for the originality that is Péro.
In Marwari, Péro means “to wear.” This concept is central to the inspiration of Aneeth’s designs. Péro is not limited to any demographic but open for all with a shared mindset; a love of easy, handcrafted, and beautiful garments. Inspired by the traditional textile processes of India, Péro incorporates craftsmen, local materials, and irrevocable technique into each piece. The result is stunningly handmade garments that are genuinely unique.
Despite its cultural roots, Péro’s popularity transcends its local clientele through representation in Fashion Weeks of Paris, Milan, Copenhagen, and New York. It’s effortless style is one that is seasonless while remaining relevant in any cultural setting. Infusing culture into every piece, Péro introduces the spice of India to its global audience.
